Alene Nitzky is an oncology nurse and healthcare writer living in Colorado. She develops community programs for cancer survivors to improve quality of life and self-advocacy skills. Her programs, Cancer Harbors and FIERCE are contained in her new book, Navigating the C, available in late 2017. She believes in disrupting healthcare to make it serve humans with creativity, authenticity, resourcefulness, and empathy #CARE  She is an ultradistance runner and enjoys running through deserts and mountains.
