About Give a Day to the City
“Give a Day to the City” had been a dream of Andy Fearon’s for some time, and when he attended Carlisle Ambassadors back in January 2015, he realised it was perfectly possible to make it happen when there were so many generous people around – people prepared to give away whatever was in their hand. Whether it was their time, expertise, workmanship, products, moral or physical support, sponsorship…. anything that was in their gift to donate.
And three years on, after joining with people from local business, retail, city council, charities, community, churches, schools and more (many of whom are in Carlisle Ambassadors’ network), a real impact has been made on do many lives in our generous city. This concept can be replicated anywhere – but we’re setting the bar high right here in Carlisle, Cumbria! Help to give some extra oxygen to this good news story during these challenging times in the world – it’ll bring a smile to people’s faces!
