Thyroid Friends London

Who are we with thyroid disease?

That’s a question we’ve often asked ourselves, since we’ve found we sometimes feel so changed by this illness that our sense of self can feel somewhat lost at times.  That’s perhaps the primary reason that we find it so valuable to meet and talk to other people living with thyroid disease. We can all support each other, both through the hard times and by sharing our positive experiences of being restored to a good level of wellbeing and receiving good care.  It also makes it vital for us to be able to access reliable information about our conditions.

We are a voluntary association of patients. At the support groups we run, we talk about all things thyroid and listen to endocrinologists and other experts share their knowledge with us.  We are always looking for new volunteers, providing they will abide by codes of practice that ensure we all behave responsibly towards one another. We are a values based organisation who act with honesty, integrity and kindness.

We endorse and provide British Thyroid Foundation (BTF), comprehensive, medically approved, patient literature on all thyroid conditions.

Get in touch if you’d like to help or want to know more about our group.
