Most of us are often confronted with situations where we feel that life is unfair and materially there is not enough to go around. Lack of ‘abundance’ often affects us because the centre of our own universe, which often happens to be us and our yardstick of abundance, is often material gain! This is particularly true of these times of economic uncertainty. We feel that we are constantly being affected by circumstances beyond our control because we and our responses often get determined by the situations around us. We are not proactive enough to take charge. We often feel that here is a pie and we are being forced to share it. If there are more people around us who are hungry then we will be left with a smaller slice of this pie! But, how often have we tried to innovatively find a creative solution to our problems. Creative solution finding through emotional intelligence, loving kindness, organisational power and true potentiality borne out of gratitude, internal security, wisdom and integrity is the hallmark of abundance. A sense of abundance always begins in the soul when all other elements such as the body, mind, heart and soul are in equanimity and congruence.
Choosing a value system that fosters equanimity in the mind helps you create a whole new paradigm and a window to this world wherein you intuitively make the right choices as a self-leader. All your actions and behaviour are then a function of who you fundamentally are and ought to be, and not based on how you have emotionally been affected by the feelings of failure or achievement. We emotionally invest in our hopes and dreams and when these are not realised we get angry, jealous or even devastated. The way we respond to these external forces at work, greatly affects the outcomes and our prognosis in terms of how we are shaping our destinies. The more unconditionally positive and happy we feel, the greater the chance that we will look out for hidden opportunities even in worst case scenarios and hence promote good luck and abundance in times of crises. The belief system that reminds one of the impermanence of all things, that life is not about gains in terms of luxury or material gain, but a journey in search of its true meaning, will help you question existing prevalent paradigms. A framework or way of living which is full of abundance and the fact that there is nothing at stake, gives you not just material wealth, but also other unconventional forms of wealth such as creativity and loving relationships and friendship all around you through universal love, trust and intuition. Taking small steps towards personal transformation has the potential to turn negativity into affirmative action. This could be imbibing one positive attribute at a time in small realistic steps. It could be for example, as straight forward as speaking the truth at all times, promising to be sincere, trying to be loving and to be loved etc. Doing these would dispense with several negative feelings in one go, including guilt, fear, worry, internal strife and suffering, isolation, claustrophobia and stress in a complicated world of today. This would also promote courage, internal balance and sense of abundance.
Abundance is expanding your internal horizons and ‘positive emptiness’ by reducing contraction/negativity and judgemental thoughts which only come with limited possibilities. This is to let in endless possibilities by introducing equanimity and expanding your awareness connecting you to the positive cosmic energy. Being part of the cosmic energy is like real homecoming as we are essentially specks of stardust. Therefore it is in our essential nature to have free internal space where the symphony of nature resounds and the celestial dance is ritualised to align us with the frequency of the cosmos for eternal resonance. It clearly implies that one has to take full responsibility for one’s own self as this a matter of one’s inner space. Else eventual bliss, a natural congruent outgrowth of abundance, will never be actualised!
